At BudgieBliss, we believe that ethical breeding means putting the health and happiness of the birds first — always. We don’t just breed for color or demand. We breed to create strong, friendly, well-raised budgies who are ready for loving homes.

Here’s what our breeding ethics look like:

What We Do

• Choose parent pairs carefully based on health, temperament, and compatibility

• Give all birds plenty of space, fresh food, and enrichment — no crowded cages or overbreeding

• Allow natural rest periods between clutches — we never overwork our birds

• Keep detailed records of each pair and each chick

• Provide gentle socialization when possible so chicks grow up confident and calm

• Only sell fully weaned chicks — we never rush or force weaning

What We Don’t Do

• No breeding sick, weak, or overly aggressive birds

• No keeping pairs in tiny cages just for breeding

• No “mass breeding” or selling to pet shops

• No selling chicks that are too young to leave the nest

• No hiding health issues or mislabeling genders
